I’ve been waiting to release these for a little while now. This is the second year that I’ve worked with the Bryant High School Varsity Basketball team in Tuscaloosa, AL. I wanted to do a blog on these images, but decided to wait until after the team banquet. Shooting sporting events is always fun and challenging, but I was truly impressed by the progress of some of the guys on the team. What a difference a year makes! The whole team played much faster, with stifling defense, and it seemed everyone was jumping out of the gym!
Team Photo: A Lesson in Photoshop
Here are the members of the 2012-2013 Varsity Basketball Team. Sometimes I am required to utilize Photoshop to do things other than touch up blemishes. Just to show off some of my Photoshop skills, I am comparing the original image with the altered final image (cropped for a closer view). This one was a little tough, but I think the final result turned out well.
Can you spot all of the differences between the two images!?
Did you spot them all?
Back Row (#1) shorts, socks, shoes; (#12) socks; (#10) socks, objects by left shoulder
Front Row (#2) socks, (#40) socks, shoes
Goal Backboard; Backboard Trim
Here are a few images from the final two games of the season…
